NPCing at NERO Indiana is hard work, but it's rewarding, too. We encourage PCs to NPC for a four hour shift - doing so pays for your maxout and gets you a single draw from our grab bag.
For the people that take the time to NPC the whole event, we offer a little bit more:
- Maxout Experience toward your character of choice
- 50 Goblin Points per day
- 2 Grab Bag Draws per day
- 1 NPC Ticket per day
In the grab bag, you can find production items, components, gold, and even an occasional magical item. Grab Bag tags can be traded and represent a reward for a minor task accomplished by your character while you were NPCing.
NPC Tickets are non-transferrable can be redeemed for a number of rewards. They represent major rewards for tasks accomplished by your character. Every redeemed NPC Ticket reward can accompany an In Between Game Action where you briefly (less than 2 pages) describe how your character earned the reward. (Note that these IBGAs must be approved by plot).

Redeeming the assistance of a tradesman provides role-play benefits and can be redeemed at an event or in a mini-mod. Example tradesmen include trackers, carpenters, miners, or jewelers. Some tradesmen will not perform their trade in dangerous situations.
Redeeming the assistance of a formalist grants a caster who will cast 5, 10, or 20 levels of formal in a safe location.
* Constructed items require at least a 4 week notice before they can be redeemed. You can spend 10 points to get a +1, 1 Year, Rendered weapon if you provide the rep. You can request an elemental aura instead of a damage aura. Shield designs can be chosen from the diagrams in the 9th Edition rulebook.
